Yes, you read that right—fairy gardens and elf gardens are something you will surely fall in love with. We went to the garden center, looked through all the perennials and rockery plants, and picked the ones we liked best. Our idea was to let the plants guide us, and design the rest around them. So, without a detailed layout, we simply planted them in a pot and let the magic unfold!

The next step was building a fairy house. Using corrugated cardboard, I cut out a tiny cottage, following a template from the book Martynka and Easter Ideas (Papilon Publishing). We decorated the roof with dried flowers and used a green ribbon as a door.

But the biggest challenge was creating miniature furniture—a swing and a bench. That took some real precision work, from cutting the sticks evenly to gluing them carefully with a hot glue gun. Once the elements were ready, we collected sand and pebbles from our real garden to design the fairy’s little world.

And of course, one project wasn’t enough—we already have more ideas for miniature houses and accessories, so this fairy tale adventure will definitely continue!

I truly recommend trying this activity with your kids. It doesn’t matter if you live in a house or an apartment—your miniature fairy garden doesn’t have to stay outside. It will look just as charming on a balcony, coffee table, or windowsill.
